Our church continues to meet every Saturday and Sunday and we'd love to get to know you.
St. John's Lutheran School exists to provide Christ-centered education for children. We believe that an education without Christ is one without foundation and real purpose. We believe that all school subjects must be taught in the light of God's inspired and errorless Word.
What we believe and teach is rooted in God's perfect Word. Because we know it never changes, we know we can base our faith upon it.
St. John's offers a year-round Childcare from 6am through 6pm for children ages 6 weeks through 12.
St. John's Lutheran Preschool is a great start for mind and heart. Children learn, play, and grow in a safe, nuturing, Christian environment.
Children ages 3 and 4 are welcome 2-5 days (flexible scheduling to fit your needs).
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's Word. It's true and without error.
And that from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and for training in righteousness,
2 Timothy 3:15-16
Creation
We believe that in six days God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them thousands of years ago.
Genesis 1
Jesus
We believe Jesus is God the Son, born of the virgin Mary, and that he suffered and died on the cross to pay for all of our sins.
In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin pledged in marriage to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women.”
But she was greatly troubled by the statement and was wondering what kind of greeting this could be. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, because you have found favor with God. Listen, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will never end.”
Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”
The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
Then Mary said, “See, I am the Lord’s servant. May it happen to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her. Luke 1:26-35; 38
Salvation
We believe Jesus rose on Easter morning, conquering death. And because he rose, so will we.
But God, because he is rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! He also raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. He did this so that, in the coming ages, he might demonstrate the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7
