Mr. Caleb Heckendorf

Growing up as a pastor’s kid in Appleton, WI, Caleb always knew that he wanted to be a pastor. Because of this, both his father, Joel, and his mother, Mary (nee Koelplin), encouraged him to attend Luther Prep for high school. During his junior year at Luther Prep, his father took a call to start a new mission church in Reno, NV, and that is where he now considers home. Afterhigh school, Caleb studied for 4 more years at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and graduated in May 2024. This past summer he got engaged to Claire Tomhave, who is a tutor at Luther Prep, and the two of them will be getting married in June 2025. Caleb is excited for the opportunity to learn from the pastors at St. John’s as well as connecting with the congregation.
