Matthew is the 7th grade teacher and cross country coach at St. John's. Matthew grew up in Fond du Lac, WI, attending Redeemer Lutheran Church and School. From there he went on to attend and graduate from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in 2014. Matthew attended MLC and graduated in December of 2018. In the summer of 2018, Matthew met his wife, Jennifer. They were married in 2019 and have 2 children.
Matthew has had 3 previous calls. His first 2 years teaching were each one year calls to Trinity, Neenah, WI and St. John’s, Fox Lake, WI respectively. In 2021, he received a call to teach at TSL in Watertown, WI. Matthew has served there in a variety of capacities, mainly including teaching upper grades English, and being technology director. He is excited to join the St. John’s faculty and use his gifts to bring glory to God.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He also enjoys being outdoors, exercising, reading, hunting, grilling, and completing projects around the house.
